Hunter's Moon

Tonight is the night of the "Hunter's Moon". It is the first full moon after the "Harvest Moon". The Hunter's Moon allows more light for hunters to capture their prey. Spooky if you adhere to folklore; comforting if you adhere to Scripture. God allows man additional light to provide for his family. While I am not a "Hunter/Gatherer" in the old sense, I appreciated the extra light of the moon as I walked into the Safeway parking lot long after dark and saw the beautiful light of the moon in the sky!

Welcome

The morning started out very cold! It is supposed to get up
to the mid 80's by the afternoon. We have the heater for the chilly
mornings and the air conditioner for the very warm afternoons.
What we need is insulation and good windows!

Sunflower Fields Forever

The bees were very busy today.
So busy, they didn't even care when I came up close and said
"Smile for the camera"
I'm just lucky I didn't get stung!

Pumpkin Patch

Tyler and I took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch today.
He used to sit in this wagon when he was little and I'd have to prop him up among the pumpkins and take the picture--really quick before he fell over!
Just look at this bountiful array of beauty.
What I like most about this farm is you can cut flowers as well as buy seasonal veggies.

Tyler's Tricked Out Ride

Study this picture carefully. You will see the beginnings of this Tricked Out Ride.

Tyler and his friends are having great fun adding to this mean machine. You should see them riding it. Watch out for that crazy steering boys!!

Falling Leaves Quilt Show

This weekend is the "Falling Leaves Quilt Show" at our local Fairgrounds. I went today all geared up to see beautiful quilts as well as browse the vendor booths. I wasn't geared up for the number of people that would be there! Over the years this has been my favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

I was able to shop at my favorite vendor, Kerrie's shop! I came away with this adorable panel to make up into a "quick" wall hanging. The idea is, the wall hangings are so quick and easy that you can have one for each season :-{

We'll see about that!

Perfect Gift

Just imagine my complete delight at receiving a box from Lizzie today.
A box from any of my children is enough to send me to Heaven.

Inside this box was a beautifully wrapped package of yummy smelling tea, delicious looking toffee apple crumbles and autumnal decorations that, c'mon truthfully, would make Martha proud!

Thank you Lizzie!!
