"Can I try Dad?" Later in his teen years, Tyler may wish he had never asked this question but~~ just for today~~he was all smiles!
Just look at the fruit of his labor. Good job Tyler!

A Toast to Daddy

We met together at the Tallman Hotel tonight to toast Daddy. We had yummy brie, spinach artichoke dip and lots of bruschetta. Oh, yes we also had a toast with some of Lake County's finest white wine.
You were a fine man Daddy. We felt your spirit among us as we toasted you. L' Chaim!

My Chains are Gone

My chains are gone
I've been set free!
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood, His mercy reigns
Unending love~~ Amazing grace

Thank You Jesus. Daddy passed from our realm into your Marvelous Glory, Sunday morning, 6/08/08 at 3:45 a.m.

Traveling Light

When we arrived at the Rest Home today we were met by Jeff, one of Daddy's nurses. He told us that Daddy was making plans for his final journey. The process is very simple, yet at the same time is quite involved. Right now Daddy is making peace and letting go of as much "stuff" as he needs to. His journey won't require any luggage. With each jerk of his frail body, one more piece of unnecessary baggage is left at the door. I can tell this is happening because, he has always had the same expression on his face when he decides "Oh well, it doesn't matter".

"Homeward Bound"

Turn on your speakers and listen to the first song playing on my sidebar.

Daddy is Homeward Bound.

He wasn't quite aware of what was going on when I took this picture but he smiled anyway! He will be coming home Wednesday, June 11th. Hospice has already been called in so all will be waiting for him. He will have a hospital bed, wheelchair and all the love and care he needs to go HOME where he really wants to be. Thank you all for your prayers!
