I'm feeling quite nostalgic today. It all started about two weeks ago when my aunt injured herself while trying to open a window. Since then, she has been having a myriad of troubling symptoms and she just doesn't seem to be herself.
We started talking about the days gone by and the conversation led us to Grandma Plyer, the best grandma God ever made. Go ahead and argue with me. We're all right when it comes to Grandmas!
Grandma had quite the selection of books and encouraged us to read all of them ~~ all the time. Some of my favorites were Golden Books and Ding Dong School books. I still get misty eyed looking at these covers. Do you have a favorite childhood book? What memories do you have of Grandma?

I loved going to Grandma's house in South SF around my birthday and staying the night. I loved waking up to drink international delight coffee before heading to Tanforan to shop.
I just bought a bunch of these at the thrift store last month! I love everything about them--even the font makes me happy. I'm still looking for the one about Grandma's visit.
