I mentioned in a previous post that I am reading (listening) to Rilla of Ingleside. Rilla has just "rescued" a newborn from a terrible home and has to take care of him. She doesn't know what to do for this poor child (she is only 14 years old) but her heart is in the right place. This story brings me back to taking care of my newborns and the newly birthed grandchildren. Do we really know what to do or do we just go into that nurturing state that immediately takes care of the helpless? In either case, I just love to take care of them!
