I can't believe I'm going to all this trouble to make the "perfect" scone. We have our annual Center for Life Choices Walk for Life tomorrow. Our church hosts a brunch after the walk. I signed up for scones and fruit.
My first batch tasted amazingly good but the next day they could have stood in for that rock you put behind your back tires to keep from rolling back on a hill.
I'm comparing recipes, leavening ingredients, baking times etc.
Maybe this is why Will and Kate didn't bother calling me to cater the wedding ;-)
